Mansion Poker was one of the few really serious stand-alone poker operators to launch in recent years, opening up in 2005 and offering players poker, casino games and a sportsbook through just one account. Its biggest poker drawing card in the first year or two was its massive overlay tournaments - at one point even offering a $1 million guaranteed daily - and it obviously had some success building a decent player base of European and American players alike. It clearly wasn't sustainable though and the passing of the UIGEA in late 2006, drastically reducing its access to the American market, forced a few changes.

Looking to expand its game variety and player volume, Mansion Poker subsequently joined the Ongame poker network in 2007. The move definitely increased its game offerings and player base, but obviously not enough as it has since gone one step further and moved to the iPoker network, again increasing player traffic and game options. Settling in with iPoker, Mansion Poker now offers all the perks that come with a huge network base - great value guaranteed tournaments, fantastic freerolls with prize pools up to $15,000 and a much wider selection of qualifiers to live poker events.

The Mansion Poker software - also now provided by the iPoker network - is very good and game selection is excellent, with Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Five-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud all offered and busy at most hours of the day. The software is pretty solid, with very player-friendly tables, graphics and functions and a smooth flow to game play.

Real-money player statistics as of June 2009 now show 10,000 ring-game players at peak hours and 55,000 tournament players at peak hours.
